Before writing this blog, I had absolutely no idea what podcasting was. After researching what it was, I was surprised to learn that I podcast practically every but I just never knew I was. Podcasting is "used to describe a collection of technologies for automatically distributing audio and video programs over the internet." In many states, podcasting has become the center of learning in schools. Some schools use podcasts to make online educational radio shows. Other schools throughout the country listen to them and learn from them.
In some schools, instead of confiscating Ipods and other MP3 players like many schools do, they use the MP3 players to listen to books instead of reading them which in a way is bad because the students aren't getting the full effect of reading a good story. In a way also the students tend to argue more when they try to do radio shows because of the sound control problems. Some parents find the radio shows very interesting and exciting because they can hear what their children are studying and actually learn what they are learning.
